REVIEW: Charlton Heston stars as Chrysagon, a Norman knight charged with defending a druid village. In between fighting Viking invaders and his own covetous brother, Draco. Heston falls in love with a local village girl (Rosemary Forsyth). It is this romance that forms the core of the film. Heston gives the performance of his career and is matched every step of the way by Guy Stockwell (as Draco) in what was, up until this point in time, Hollywood’s most accurate portrayal of the 11th century.
