REVIEW: Pete Seeger’s “Rainbow Quest” was a ground breaking television series from the '60s featuring authentic traditional music played in the atmosphere of an informal back porch picking party with guest appearances by well known musicians from bluegrass, country, folk, blues, gospel and world music.

 

This volume featuring the Stanley Brothers contains one of the few filmed performances of the Brothers together as Carter Stanley passed away within a year of this appearance. Also features Cousin Emmy, Doc Watson, Clint Howard and Fred Price. The quality of the footage used is both visually and audio wise excellent considering it’s vintage. A must for all bluegrass music fans.
