Acoustic: Live In Newport captures the band playing their first ever completely acoustic performance on the shores of the Atlantic in Newport, Rhode Island. It’s A fascinating alternate take on 22 of the Pixies return to their old stomping grounds to perform an intimate set in front of about 200 diehards. As bonus material there is a “fly on the wall” featurette following the band’s preparations for Newport and rare footage from October 1986 of one of the first Pixies shows shot at TT The Bear’s in Boston.
