REVIEW: Here we have another in the Town Hall Party series from Bear Family (what would we ever do without Bear Family Records). This time Bear Family feature country guitar virtuoso Merle Travis. The footage once again is lifted from kinescopes and as such the quality is not perfect although it is quite good and certainly watchable and not likely to cause too much eye strain. All performances are lifted from Merle’s performances at the Town Hall Party in 1958 and 1959 and are an integral piece of country music history.
