REVIEW: For a long time it was thought that there was no footage available of Johnny Horton performing although it was well known that Johnny did appear on several TV shows in his short career. Bear Family in it’s usual blood hound fashion and with an excellent reputation in the music industry which allowed for many doors to be opened managed to track down 17 performances by Johnny along with movie trailers and a live concert (not optimum quality but still very watchable) in Detroit in September, 1960 just shortly before his death in a car crash at the hands of a drunken driver and it is all presented here on this DVD.
