REVIEW: The late George Jones made his own brand of country music which resulted in him having hits in every decade of the second half of the 20th Century. He is often referred to as the greatest country singer of all time and in this special two DVD set twenty of the finest artists gathered together at the Roy Acuff Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee in 2003 to pay tribute to the legend that was George Jones in this television special celebrating George’s 50th Anniversary in country music. Hosted by Reba McIntyre the special presents performances and spoken tributes by many of these artists. George joins some of these artists performing the hits he made famous as well as peforming solo. Sadly George has now passed to the great country round-up in the sky but we have this brilliant tribute to George to look back on. The visual quality is excellent as is the audio.
