Based on the adventure novel of the same name, and set in the nineteenth century outback Australia, this is the story of the biggest cattle rustling coup in Australia history and the men who planned and executed it. In the North West Frontier of India, the scene of constant conflict, a tribe, the “Bhantas”, has been wrongfully imprisoned. When they escape from captivity, a young officer is ordered to track them down but as he does so, he soon realizes that they are decent and dignified men. In a desperate attempt to avert a massacre, he pleads with them to give them selves up.
