REVIEW: Unfortunately, Synergy Entertainment provide very little information about their DVD releases so there is not much to tell you about this release. However, what we can tell you is that this DVD features a special television program from 1959 celebrating the 25th anniversary of the formation of The Benny Goodman Band and features musical numbers from the band along with special guests Ella Fitzgerald, Lionel Hampton and Peggy Lee along with Shelly Manne on drums. While the visual and audio quality is not optimum it is quite watchable and is truly a unique part of musical history and is a must for Benny Goodman fans or for that matter just fans of the swing era in general. Good ***
