REVIEW: This DVD contains 43 performances lifted from various sources from the 50s and 60s. The quality varies from poor to fair with some clips bordering on good (mainly those from the 60s). Many of the clips from the 50s contain flaring and you will find it a little easier to watch by turning the brightness down on the television set. Most clips are in black & white but most from the 60s are in colour. Some of the clips featured I have seen on other DVDs in better quality, but, there are also quite a number which have never appeared anywhere before. If you are a hardcore collector then you may wish to have this DVD simply for that reason. It does make you wonder though, how many of these clips are lying in television film libraries in far better condition and will never see the light of day. One can only hope that sometime down the track common sense will prevail and many of the clips contained here will be released in better quality.
