2000, Round 13 – Cowboys 50–4 Dragons: A typical North Queensland welcome awaited last season’s Grand Finalists the Dragons, as they made the long trip to north to Townsville. In a display of sheer dominance, the Cowboys bring up a half-century on the scoreboard, with seven players crossing for tries and Julian O’Neill potting nine goals.

2004, Semi-Final – Cowboys 10–0 Broncos: Having qualified for their first finals series, a packed Dairy Farmers Stadium witnesses David Myles cross for a lone try in a hard-fought battle against their state rivals, with the final whistle sparking scenes of unrivalled adulation as the Cowboys advance to the preliminary finals.

2005, Preliminary Final – Cowboys 29–0 Eels: The Cowboys’ famous character and resolve is on display as they travel into enemy territory to take on the highly-fancied Eels in the 2005 Preliminary Final. With nothing to lose, the Cowboys ride roughshod over their opponents, holding them scoreless and booking their first ever Grand Final berth.   

2006, Round 1 – Cowboys 36–4 Broncos: In the traditional opening round clash between the two Queensland foes, a large and boisterous Brisbane crowd at Suncorp Stadium is quickly silenced by a dazzling display of cowboys attacking football.
