REVIEW: Adelaide United capped off a season for the ages to the sound of thunderous applause. The Adelaide faithful could have been forgiven for giving up on the 2015/2016 season and looking to the future, but in a remarkable turnaround in form after winning only 2 of their first 11, the Reds would go on a winning run ending with the Premiership, a home Semi-Final and a home Grand Final.

The Reds had found the perfect blend of intensity and classy clinical football storming into the Grand Final on the back of four straight victories, culminating in a 4–1 drubbing of Melbourne City. Reaching the big show for the first time in seven years, Adelaide were never going to let this opportunity slip, and with the likes of Bruce Djite, Sergio Cirio, Pablo Sanchez, Marcelo Carrusca, Dylan McGowan and Craig Goodwin the Reds had attacking weapons all over the park. With the ability to turn defence into attack within the blink of an eye, Adelaide proved to have too much class for the Western Sydney Wanderers. They claimed the match, the silverware and their place in Hyundai A-League history.
